DT card for Desmet Designs -showcase

hello everyone sorry its late but it was payday and asda was calling bypassing the range first lol only bought the £10 goody bag 2 quilling sets at £1 each and some paper flowers that was for the jubilee but i liked them and at £1 im sure ill use them lol.


so unfortunately there is no challenge this fortnight over at Desmet Designs instead we are doing a showcase of marie's 'apple tree cottage' digi.....


so here is what i made...

to make this card i found a nice outdoor image from google and printed it off. i thencoloured the apple tree cottage using promarkers and added it to the scene with the apple tree behind it.

i then printed a bigger apple tree off colouring it with promarkers and added it nearer to the front of the card.

i then added the gold banner across the top adding 'home sweet home' in gold peel off's

promarker holder

hiya how are we all tonight i know its late but didn't have time earlier to post.


there is a challenge over on facebook to make a creation using a tin so here is what i came up with...

so after making my grandad have some peas for his dinner i washed the tin out and glued pink paper around it then adding the big pink and white polka dot ribbon tieing in a knot at the back. i then added some different pink gems around the top only at the front though.

as you can see from the side view i also added a pink tag which i wrote 'pinks' on so i know its for my ink promarkers only lol

all i need to do now is make some more for the rest of my pro markers and also buy some shelves for my bedroom wall.

NEWS and challenge time over at LEJ Designs.....

hello everyone wow what a wet and miserable morning it is today. its a good job i have some news (good for me and im sure some of you will be happy for me)


the other day i received a message on facebook asking if i wanted to be part of the DT for LEJ designs so after thinking about it for the whole of 2 seconds i jumped at the chance to work with the wonderful DT members.


the theme this week is magical, mystical or mysterious. so i hope you can pop along  to LEJ designs and check out the fantastic work done by all the over lovely DT members and hopefull see some of your lovely creations.

there is not only one but two prizes up for grabs this week firstly the first randomly drawn name will receive 3 digis of there choice from LEJ designs shop and the second name drawn will receive £5 worth of goodies of there choice from crafty emblies store.


so here is my first card i made for them...... 

so i decided to make a tri fold card and went with 'the wonderful life of cinders' the card is made of of orange paper and the colourful striped paper (both from stash) i decided to write my sentiment on a tag and added it using the same orange ribbon as what ties the card together.

on the first side of the card i have used cinders in her dirty rags cleaning. i coloured the image using promarkers cutting round her leaving as small border then placing her on that stripy paper. i then added a few leaves around her feet that she has yet still to sweep!

the middle panel i added the sentiment 'spread your wings and let the fairy in you fly' i know cinders hasn't got wings but i think it was appropriate for the next image of cinders as if you believe you are better then a 'scrubber' then you most defiantly  are.

and here is cinders in her princess dress again i coloured her using promarkers making her hair more brighter. again i cut around her leaving the small border and placing on the stripy backing paper. i then added 2 blue and a pink flower embellishment.

dt for critter sketch

hello everyone its challenge time again over at critter sketch and again its anything goes so what's your excuses pop along and have a go.


i decided to make a xmas card again...that's 2 now im getting there lol.

so here it is :)

i coloured the image using promarkers and decided to only do the out line of the tree so it wasn't too much. 

i then added it to some old wrapping paper from stash then on t the backing paper from stash.

i then made a flower (by punching 5 scalloped circles fastening together with a brad and scrunching each circle inwards (im not clever i saw the technique on a blog a few weeks ago)

i then added leaf sequins around the flower as well as two leaves and 2 red jewels at the bottom of the card to look like holly and berries

DT for daisy doodles

well its Monday morning again that means transforming back the the princess i was yesterday and back in to my work clothes :( but on the plus side there's a fantastic challenge over at daisy doodles.


the challenge is 'outdoors' so i hope you can pop over for a peek at the DT cards for inspiration and hopefully join in.


the image i used for the card is 'home under the leaves and can be found here i also used the printable papers from the store which can be found here.

so here is the card i made.....

i used yellow paper as well as the ebony floral papers for my background. i coloured the flowers using my promarkers which took me the whole of 5 days to do (on and off not solid 5 days) lol.

i coloured my image using promarkers. then mat and layered my image and backing papers adding 2 extra flowers that id cut out from the backing paper to use as embellishments.

i then added a big yellow and green leaf and 4 little flowers on steams as embellishments,

here is a close up of one of the flowers i coloured as you can tel i used 2 shades af green for the leaves and 3 for the flower its self....never again am i doin this lol it took way way too long but it does look good dont you think??

fit for a princess

well today was a very special 5th birthday for a special princess i know. Carly the princess likes purple and butterflies so here is the card and presents i made for her...

This is the card i made for princess Carly as you can see its very purple... i printed the image out and decoupaged it then added purple feathers around the princess. i then added glitter to the castle the princesses dress and flowers in her hair.. i alos adde 4 small butterflies then i punched out on a pale purple card adding a bit of glitter... i also punched the ribbon holes at the top to added the purple and gold ribbon and a big bow at the top left hand corner. 

after this pic was took i also added the sentiment at the top say 'birthday girl'

this is the first present i made for Carly it may seem a bit strange that i made this for a 5 year old but they were moving away so i though it was a good idea but they changed there mind now so but still im sure they will love to see my face everyday lol....

i made this buy printing off the picture of me and Carly and adding it to the frame. i decorated the frame using yep you guessed it purple ribbon and butterflies.

i decorated it using purple acrylic paint O(looks quite dark though) then added pink beads around the edge of the door hanger and mixed coloured beards to the rest of t.

DT for when the scrap hits the fun

hiya guys how are we all today? see the weathers slowly changing again :( well inbetween slowly turning in to a princess for a birthday party tomorrow i made this card....well im dying my hair and shaving my legs lol.

so here is what i came up with:

to make this card i used an old make up spong...i need to buy another now for my oundation lol and sponged on a blue ink to make it look like water. i then added the sentiment to a tag again sponging the blur ink on it with a bit of a greeny blue.


i then coloured the mermaide in using promarkers adding it to my card with 'seeweed' in front of her. i did the sea weed using green florist ribbon.
